No. 23 Mizzou keeps cooking, moves to 5-0 with 38-21 win over Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The last interception Brady Cook threw was against Vanderbilt last season, a flaw in an otherwise efficient but not spectacular day for the Missouri quarterback.

One year later he arrived at FirstBank Stadium to face Vandy with a growing list of achievements that overshadowed the long stretch of interception-free football.

Quietly on Saturday, that streak grew into a Southeastern Conference record as Cook continued to build one of the most impressive quarterback stat lines in the country in No. 23 Mizzou’s 38-21 win.

He completed 33 of 41 passes for a career-high 395 yards and four touchdowns but shared responsibility for the production with a receiving corps that racked up yards after the catch in chunks against a program, and in a stadium, that are rebuilding.
