MISSOURI -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced its players of the week Tuesday afternoon. After his stellar performance this past week, Tom Cooklin was named the MVC Offensive Player of The Week.
Today, Cooklin received his second individual award in two days: Yesterday, Cooklin was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week. Today marked the first MVC Offensive Player of The Week honor of Cooklin's career after he led Western Michigan to a 5-0 win over in-state rival Oakland and a 3-0 Homecoming victory over Drake. The graduate student from Lewes, England secured a career-best four assists versus Oakland during WMU's victory last Wednesday and scored his first goal of the season in Western's 3-0 win over Drake on Saturday.
